1. What first made you interested in working in Senior Living?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         I was always fascinated by seniors stories. Each generation is so different and we can learn so much from those who have lived a full life before us.
2. How long have you been working in Senior Living and what was your first job in this field?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    I began as a volunteer candy striper at a local nursing home when I was 12 and I worked in Dietary through high school. After a small break to work in the accounting field, I missed the seniors and returned to work in admissions in a nursing home for 25 years. I joined Laurelwood at The Pinehills 6 years ago and absolutely love my job.
3. What is your favorite part about working in Senior Living?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Watching seniors who may have been isolated and frail come alive and purposeful once joining our community
4. What is one thing you wish everyone new about being a Sales Director?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     How rewarding it is helping families make this important decision.
5. What is one piece of advice you would share with someone thinking of starting a career in Senior Living?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          You are dealing with people so be genuine and listen to their needs and wants, validate their emotions. It’s all about the resident.
6. What keeps you invested in the field?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Our seniors deserve the absolute best care and compassion to live their best life possible and I love being  part of that.
7. What is your favorite part about your job?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          The residents for sure. They are amazing people and I am honored to know them.
8. What is the best part about working at Northbridge?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         I love coming to work everyday. I am so fortunate to work for a company that cares about its employees in every way. Furthermore the team at Laurelwood at The Pinehills is supportive and so fun to work with.
