Resident Care Directors are responsible for overseeing the care needs of all the residents at our communities. They are some of the most caring, compassionate and hard working people you will ever meet and we are lucky that they share their talents with Northbridge!

- What made you decide to pursue a career in healthcare?
I have always wanted to be a nurse and take care of people. I remember receiving my first ‘nurse kit’ for Christmas when I was five and Clara Barton was one of my Civil War heros. - What first interested you about working in senior living?
My wonderful father-in-law had Alzheimer’s disease and lived with us until he needed a full memory care program. - What was your first job or experience working in senior living?
My first full time job in Senior Living was as a Memory Care Director. - What is your favorite part about working in senior living?
My favorite part of Senior Living is really connecting with our residents. Seeing them laughing and enjoying themselves. I am a firm believer in ‘socialization over medication’ whenever possible. - What is one piece of advice you would give to young nurses just entering the healthcare field?
My advice to new nurses is never stop learning, soak up every experience you can. - What is one piece of advice you would give to someone considering a career in senior living?
My advice to someone considering senior living is you can’t imagine how rewarding it can be to get to know our residents and their stories and building positive experiences for them. - What keeps you invested in the field of senior living?
What keeps me vested in this field is the feeling you get at the end of the day to know you made a difference in a resident’s day with a smile, a hug, or a compliment.
