Massachusetts Assisted Living Association Awards – Celebrating Excellence at Northbridge

On Wednesday, July 31 Northbridge celebrated our amazing associates at the Massachusetts Assisted Living Association (Mass-ALA) Awards Dinner.

With over 25 nominees company-wide in all award categories and from all departments, we are happy to announce that Northbridge won 4 of the 9 awards of the night.

Congratulations to all of our nominees and a special congratulations to our 4 winners:

Resident Spirit Award: Lucier ‘Lucie’ O’Brien, Autumn Glen at Dartmouth
Lucie is an amazing ambassador for everything that life at Autumn Glen at Dartmouth stands for. She is a welcoming presence to new residents, a regular participant in community programs and we are so lucky to have her as part of our Autumn Glen family.

Dining Services Award: Alex Duda, Avita of Newburyport
Alex is not only the leader of our Culinary team but a cherished member of our Avita of Newburyport family. He is an amazing team member, always willing to help out and do what he can to make sure our residents are happy. From serving up their favorite meals to going on a fishing trip with our Men’s club, he brings so much happiness to our community.

Executive Director: Sue McKenna, Laurelwood at The Pinehills
Sue is an amazing leader who works tirelessly to make sure everyone at Laurelwood at The Pinehills feels welcomed, respected, included and important – we are so lucky to have her as our Executive Director.

Program Innovation Award: Mary Ellen Driscoll, Stone Hill at Andover
Mary Ellen Driscoll is the part-time engagement assistant who puts her full-time heart into creating Stone Hill at Andover’s inspirational programs bringing creativity, music, art, and joy to the residents, families, and associates alike.
