Northbridge celebrated our amazing community leaders at the Massachusetts Assisted Living Association (Mass-ALA) Awards Dinner on August 1, 2023.

With over 20 nominees company-wide in all award categories and from all departments, we are happy to announce that Northbridge won 4 of the 9 awards of the night.

Congratulations to all of our nominees and a special congratulations to our 4 winners:

Resident Spirit Award: Joe Samartano, Laurelwood at The Pinehills
Joe embodies the Northbridge motto of “Live Well, Love Life”. His welcoming presence to new residents and his support of current residents bring so much life to Laurelwood, that and his contagious laughter heard throughout the community.

Maintenance Award: Frank Gorman, Stone Hill at Andover
Everyone in our industry has titles and specific tasks we must accomplish each day. Our common and most important job, however, is to care for the seniors entrusted to us. In this role Frank Gorman, Maintenance Director at Stone Hill Andover is top-rated. He may be a recent addition to our community, but he is what we always needed, and we feel so lucky he is part of our team.

Employee Leadership Award: Jennifer Gelinas, Autumn Glen at Dartmouth
Jennifer has been such a blessing to all parts of life at Autumn Glen and has made more positive changes to our community in one year than we can count. Every day she comes in with a smile, a positive attitude, and a hundred great ideas.

Program Innovation Award: George A. Silvia III, Stonebridge at Burlington
Hometown History is an innovative program developed by George Silvia, a history loving, resident engagement extraordinaire with a passion for creating unique and successful programs. George has a knack for developing creative programs based on history and education that allow residents to learn and grow, all while having fun and building connections with each other and their community.
