  1. What first made you interested in working in Senior Living?
I am a licensed Speech Language Pathologist and worked in that field for many years. That is where I first started working with older adults and I fell in love with that population.
  2. How long have you been working in Senior Living and what was your first job in this field?
I made the move to Senior Living  8 years ago when I accepted the position of Executive Director at Stafford Hill. I have worked for Northbridge ever since!
  3. What is your favorite part about working in Senior Living?
I love the relationships I have formed with our residents, families and associates. We have so much fun in our community.
  4. What is one thing you wish everyone new about being a Executive Director?
How rewarding it is! I left my previous career path because I was no longer experiencing  joy at work. I have that every single day as the Executive Director of this community.
  5. What is one piece of advice you would share with someone thinking of starting a career in Senior Living?
Understand our seniors are still living rich, fulfilling lives. Our job is to make sure they have the very best quality of life possible and that they have fun!
  6. What keeps you invested in the field?
Seeing the positive impact we have on seniors’ lives is so fulfilling. Helping families throughout the memory care journey is also something that means a great deal to me.
  7. What is your favorite part about your job?
Seeing new residents successfully transition to living at the community. There is often apprehension prior to the move, either by the family, resident or both. We have the benefit of knowing how great it is going to be, but they often don’t know that yet. I love when I see new residents in programs and making friends in the dining room – it’s the best.
  8. What is the best part about working at Northbridge?
To be completely honest, I love everything about working at this community and for this company. Northbridge is a wonderful, caring, company to work for and I have been very fortunate to work at two amazing Northbridge communities. I love that I have such a fulfilling career and am able keep my family first. Two of my children have worked at Stafford Hill as well (one still does) and that was a very special experience for me. I love that I was able to share that with them and that family is so important to this company.
