How long have you been working in Senior Living and what first made you interested in the field?

I have worked in senior living for over a year and have gained additional experience across other senior-related industries for approximately five years. I hold a bachelor’s degree in healthcare management, which has provided me with a strong foundation of knowledge to support the career path I have chosen and my passion for serving the senior population.

What is your favorite part about working in Senior Living?

There are countless reasons to work in senior living, but my favorite part is the meaningful connections I build with residents and their families. While it may sound like a common answer, it’s truly what makes this work so fulfilling. I also deeply value the sense of connection and community at Stonebridge at Burlington, which makes work feel less like a job and more of a calling.

What is one thing you wish everyone knew about being a Business Office Director?

One aspect of the Business Office Director position that people may not realize is that it includes oversight of the concierge team. Hospitality and customer service are essential to the success of a community, and as leaders, we are responsible for ensuring that every experience is memorable and that the needs and expectations of those we serve are met promptly and with care.

What is one piece of advice you would share with someone thinking of starting a career in Senior Living?

If you feel called or drawn to senior living, I encourage you to take the leap. For anyone who’s ever wondered about the true impact of their work, this field will show you how meaningful it can be—you’ll be rewarded in ways that touch your heart and enrich your life.

Another wonderful aspect of the Stonebridge/Northbridge community is the support you receive from both peers and mentors. This encouragement nurtures personal and professional growth, creating an environment where you’re inspired to learn, take initiative, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents and their families.

What is your favorite way to connect with residents?

Whenever I finish my work, I make it a priority to walk the halls or spend time at the front desk to connect with residents. Occasionally, I will visit them during lunch to share a conversation and brighten both of our days. For residents who are willing, I sometimes take a photo with them to capture and preserve those meaningful moments.
