During the month of November we celebrate National Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month. A time to educate about the disease, celebrate the amazing caregivers and recognize the many struggles and success's that come with both living with Alzheimer's or caring for someone who does.

Avita of Stroudwater’s goal for all of our residents and associates is to, “Live Well, Love Life.” With this mission and vision it is my pleasure to be a support system for families and caregivers. I take great pride in my associates and team members as they keep our residents engaged, and provide a high quality of life to them.

I decided to come to Avita because I have worked in the surrounding community for years and have always heard positive and uplifting stories of Avita. Many of my members from the day program I ran transitioned to Avita and I was confident in referring families to Avita, as I knew that the members I served would continue to reap the benefits of quality care and engaging socializing programming. A good reputation speaks volumes in this industry and Avita has it. I am advocate for people with Dementia/Alzheimer’s and I find such reward in bettering the lives of those affected. My goal is to educate people and build any meaningful relationship that I can in the process.

My passion and purpose is working with elders and ensuring that they live their lives to the absolute fullest despite their age, health or ability. It is my goal to provide daily programs for purposeful engagement that will improve the quality of life in each resident that we have here at Avita. It is wonderful to work in a community where we all have the same goal; to make a positive difference is people’s lives by creating a special place where residents can thrive and families can have peace of mind. Seeing the smiles on the faces of our residents is what motivates me each day and the reward is great.
