What first made you interested in working in Senior Living?
I originally worked in retail and left that and there happened to be an ad for Business Offiice Director for an Assisted Living Community and applied and got the job and loved it.
How long have you been working in Senior Living and what was your first job in this field?
I first started working in Senior Living back in 2005, my first role was the Business Office Director role mentioned previously.
What is your favorite part about working in Senior Living?
I love the residents and their families. I love that everyday is different.
What is one thing you wish everyone knew about being a Business Office Director?
You will wear many hats in your community.
What is one piece of advice you would share with someone thinking of starting a career in Senior Living?
Practice patience and kindness.
What keeps you invested in the field?
I love what I do and the people I work with!
What is your favorite part about your job?
Seeing the smiles on my residents faces when I come in each day.
What is the best part about working at Ledgewood Bay or at Northbridge?
We have a great team at Ledgewood Bay and everyone is willing to help when needed.
Northbridge is such a wonderful company to work for and everyone at the Home Office is ALWAYS willing to help whether it is the directors or the staff themselves that need it. You know you can reach out to any one and they will help you. I have worked for larger companies and always felt like if you had to call the Home Office you felt like you were doing something wrong.
