Alzheimer’s Care Resources in Connecticut

Alzheimer's care resources in Connecticut

Have you heard?

Northbridge Communities is growing! We’re excited to announce our expansion into Connecticut with the addition of two new communities: Riverbend at Farmington in Farmington, CT, and Skybrooke at Simsbury in Simsbury, CT.

Most exciting of all? We’re proud to introduce our renowned Avita Memory Care program to Connecticut—offering top-tier Alzheimer’s care resources in Connecticut for families navigating the dementia journey.

These beautiful communities are now part of the Northbridge family, and we’re thrilled to bring our signature programs, local dining philosophy, and high-quality care to even more families.

Why Are We So Excited about Avita Memory Care and bringing it to Connecticut to become an Alzheimer’s care resource in Connecticut?

Avita Memory Care is thoughtfully designed to offer a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where residents thrive and families gain peace of mind. At the heart of our approach is the belief that personalized care makes all the difference. That’s why every Northbridge associate receives Brass Ring Dementia Training, which emphasizes getting to know the person behind the diagnosis—their likes, dislikes, hobbies, routines, and life story.

This person-centered approach ensures that care is tailored to each individual. If Mom always loved the scent of Dove soap, we’ll use that in her bathing routine. If a particular song lifts Dad’s spirits in the morning, our team will sing it to him to help him start the day on a joyful note. It’s these small, meaningful details that define our Avita approach.

Engagement With Purpose

Beyond care, our engagement teams focus on providing programs that bring meaning, connection, and joy. We know that no matter someone’s age or cognitive abilities, they still want to feel valued and connected to their community. Avita programming reflects residents’ interests while promoting their involvement with the world around them.

A Unique Alzheimer’s Care Resource in Connecticut: Join My Journey

To help the greater community better understand dementia, we’re proud to offer Join My Journey, an immersive experience that allows participants to step into the shoes of someone living with dementia. This hands-on experience fosters empathy, understanding, and support—key values in effective dementia care. It is a great Alzheimer’s Care Resource in Connecticut.

At Northbridge, we may be new to Connecticut, but we are not new to Alzheimer’s and dementia care. If you or someone you love could benefit from life in an Avita Memory Care neighborhood, we encourage you to reach out. Riverbend at Farmington and Skybrooke at Simsbury are proud to serve as trusted Alzheimer’s care resources in Connecticut.
