Resident Care Director Spotlight – Danielle Dadiego

Meet Danielle Dadiego, Senior Resident Care Director at Avita of Brunswick, whose passion for senior living has guided her 33-year career serving older adults. Beginning as a dietary aide before becoming a CNA, LPN, and RN, Danielle has dedicated her career to helping seniors live with dignity and purpose. Since joining Northbridge in 2018, she has grown into a leadership role that allows her to support residents, mentor associates, and strengthen care across multiple communities. Danielle’s favorite part of her work is getting to know residents, hearing their stories, and learning from the wisdom they share. She is proud to be part of an organization that values meaningful relationships, professional growth, and helping residents feel at home.

How long have you been working in Senior Living and what first made you interested in the field?

I have worked with seniors for 33 years. I started off as a dietary aid at an assisted living community, completed the CNA class as soon as I was old enough. Then went on for my LPN and RN.  I joined Northbridge as wellness nurse in 2018. In 2021 I became the RCD here at Avita of Brunswick and in 2025, I began teaching PSS and CRMA classes for Northbridge associates .In 2025, I was promoted to Senior Resident Care Director and now I get to work with other communities to develop trainings, assist in rolling out systems and offer the PSS and CRMA classes to other communities.

What is your favorite part about working in Senior Living?

The residents! They have such great stories and so much to teach all of us.

What is one thing you wish everyone knew about being a Resident Care Director?

I’m so fortunate to have the best of both worlds, I get the opportunity to spend time with the residents and work alongside dedicated caregivers who share the common goal of helping our residents live their best lives.

What is one piece of advice you would share with someone thinking of starting a career in Senior Living?

Listen more than you speak, these residents have so much wisdom to pass along to the next generations.

What is the best part about working at Avita of Brunswick or at Northbridge?

No associate who works for Northbridge is treated as just a number, Northbridge encourages professional growth and genuinely cares about the employees.

What is one thing you want families to know as they’re moving their loved one in? 

We want to help your loved one live their best life. Dementia/Alzheimers steal so much from our residents. Our goal is to help your loved one feel at home and continue to enjoy the little things that mean so much.
